Ile d'Oléron: La zone de lagunage du marais Papinaud

La réserve ornithologique du Grand Marais Papinaud fait partie du Conservatoire du Littoral, ainsi que le site des Dunes Barataud.

Autour du marais Papinaud et des lagunes de La Bétaudière, on peut observer selon la saison de nombreux oiseaux qui nichent ou font une halte : canards, colverts, tadornes, ou oie cendrée, goélands et mouettes...

Là, je pense que c'est un ragondin, je ne suis pas très sure...
Ah, mais là, je crois pouvoir dire sans me tromper que c'est une vache qui boit l'eau du marais.

Is that a white horse I am looking at and is she yours?? He or she is just beautiful. I love the photo's but I would love to learn how to ride a horse some day.

Yes Tweetey, same here, it is one of my dream to learn riding and also to learn how to play the guitar. Since Helen's friend accident with a horse (he is now hemiplegic) I think it is not such a good idea anymore. On a lighter note, the drinking "horse" is a cow!!!

Oops. It looks like a horse from this angle. Still pretty neat though. I have never seen a pure white cow before.
