May I have your Opinion? A votre avis?

I went to see a specialist this afternoon. The guys says that his best camera in the shop, the one he has carefully choose for his customer is this one, the Pentax Optio V10.
He says that it is a good one for blogging, it's new, just been out on the market.
i don't think the guy is pushing me to buy this one, he is just a good professional, you can see he loves his job, he wants the best for his customer.
I admit I am now really tempted, even though yesterday I badly wanted the Panasonic Lumix.

Only problem is the propietary battery pack, although it does come with an adapter charger you can't just switch out batteries you have to go find a place to plug in and let it recharge.

Other than that, it is a nice slim powerful camera.

I would love to have an opinion but I would get my son to pick out a camera for me because I haven't a clue and don't want to spend the time comparing features. I probably would not spend as much on one as you would either because frankly, I'm no photographer, so a mid-range camera would be all I'd need to get started.

Kitem that is a cool camera. But I have no idea about this one. I have to say go with your instinct and choose which one is the best for you and what you do with the camera.

I don't have any experience with any of the specific cameras you are looking at, but I prefer Canon out of the brands you are considering, mostly because I have three of them and soon to buy my fourth.

For a compact camera, I would reccomend the Canon SD1000 digital elph. I use this camera for many of the photos on my blog and I have been extremely impressed with the quality of the images and the performance of the camera. It is very fast and has almost no shutter lag which is something I am very picky about.

I believe that it went on sale for the holidays and sells for aroung 150 dollars US. At this price, you are getting a lot of camera for the money.

The only downside that I have discovered is the lack of a battery strength indicator. The way I protect against this is to carry an extra battery in the case. The are very light and slim batteries, and they can be purchased very cheaply on Amazon.com

Sorry I can't be of more help on the models you are currently considering.
