Octobre ou Aout? August in October

Glorious day One of the many Hampton Court entrance doors, this glorious day deserves two posts today. The second one under is the story of an accident on the Thames.
After the traditional and very filling sunday roast at the pub, the beautiful Ye Old Swann.
We had a lovely walk along the Thames.
Poor Britons had a rainy and cold october in August, this week was a bright warm sunny August.
We walked back home from above Hampton Court Bridge.
To Kingston bridge, called The horse shoe, I don't know why.
Here Helene is playing with goose and swans, while I am watching the boat on fire and the firemen working with their water hoose.

Bonsoir Kitem...
Elles sont reposantes ces photos...
Apparemment, il y a beaucoup de cygnes... C'est un animal qui m'a toujours attiré. Et pourtant un m'a pincé quand j'étais petit !
Bonne soirée à vous tous, et à bientôt...

oh my you have been busy with your posts. I enjoyed reading and catching up on everything. You are teaching me alot about England. From the Hollywood movies I see they are always rude nad the country is always drab with rain and grey. But you are showing me beauty, sunshine, and stangers that don't think twice about helping someone in need.
Was anyone hurt from the fire?
I am glad you are having so much fun with Helene. I can "hear" your smiles in your voice.

Hi Kitem

Pub food is so delicious. The Thames looks beautiful. I'm glad the weather has gotten better there. Our weather has been very nice too!

It sounds like you are having a wonderful time visiting!

Very beautiful photos. Am back from KL. Nice place for photography but the shopping malls looked so much like back home...lol. Enjoyed the food though.

England is always beautiful, and even more so when the weather is like this.

OMGZ, that "Ye Olde" stuff is so trite and annoying.

And The Thames is nothing compared to The Dunărea!

Hah, such crazy weather patterns. And sometimes on worse days, like they say, its four seasons in a day.
But the sunny August weather is just perfect to coincide with your visit.
I hope the men weren't hurt in that fire! 6 fire engines?!
Love that cottage house. My dream home at one point :-)
Wishing you a glorious time!
