Yesterday, while watching President Obama sworn in I was wonderingwhether Big America got some good high fashion designer, looking at this golden sequined dress and coat his wifey was wearing. Absolutly ugly, out of place, ridiculously shiny, worn by a beautiful lady, tall and slim, a lady who could easily wear beautiful elegant pieces of clothes, she had been disguised in some kind of christmas tree, may be it is for a good Feng Shui reason, she wears the gold in compensation for what the bankers have happily dilapidated lately.
Let's hope she's going to get some fashion advisors wisely advised and learned.

That is funny Kitem. I missed that part of the Obama.
what adorable socks!
I didn't watch any of it - I was working. But sequins and other shiny things seem out of place for such a serious event.
Those rose made out of socks are lovely. Not sure if the dressing had anything to do with fengshui but it was indeed designed by a chinese from Taiwan and based in America. A very young designer about 26 years old.
Kitem, those socks are so cute ;D and Madame Obama...LOL...
What cute roses and what cute socks :-)
Yes, the outfit was ugly, and now almost every day I get news letters via email on "how to dress like the first lady".
I personally won't be, not even remotely close.
Those little socks are darling, did you figure out how they were made?
J'adore ton blog. Bravo pour ta petite fille, mignonne a croquer. Flamingo
What sweet pink sock-roses! A clever idea.
If you think the gold dress was unattractive, what about that red and black one? Well, I see a couple comments about that here...and I totally agree. I was in shock when I saw it, and I am no fashion guru! Well, perhaps she will find a good fashion consultant soon. She is a beautiful woman and would look fantastic in the right clothing.
